As the name implies, Monarchy is anything but ordinary. So when the Bergen-based hair studio asked us to help them stand out, we didn’t just build them a brand platform - we built them a crown.

With a tone of voice that felt regal but never too serious, I wrote personalised bios for every hairdresser, highlighting their personality, precision, and passion. Across the website and in-salon, these stories brought the brand to life. Paired with a bold visual direction, it became a full refresh built on character and royal finesse.

In a market flooded with glossy before-and-after shots, we saw an opportunity for Monarchy to stand out - by showcasing what truly sets them apart: the people and their craft.

So we flipped the script, and put the spotlight on the stylists themselves. Launching a social media campaign that celebrated each stylist with a personal crown, and copy - highlighting their individuality and expertise. Our campaign toolkit also gave Monarchy the freedom to continue the story in an easy to use way.

From September to December in the campaign periode, Monarchy saw a 15% revenue increase. Social traffic accounted for 60% of all website visits. Instagram reach rose by 1,600%, and the salon gained 94% more followers.

In 2024, Monarchy was awarded Årets Frisørbedrift, with the jury praising their bold identity, craftsmanship, and customer experience. A brand that dares to do things differently -and looks the part.
